If renting a car (would recommend), you need an international drivers license. Have to do at least a week before We went in the summer months. Apparently Mallorca is also very popular in the fall for biking bc it has mild winters

LOVED this hotel. Adult only. Very small. Old world European feel. It's an old military fortress that was converted to a hotel. Very unique and special spot. Rooms aren't new / renovated but worth it for ambiance of hotel. Every room has a rooftop daybed. Doesn't have a sandy beach but has a set up on the edge of the rocks overlooking the Mediterranean and you can walk down to hop in the sea

Went for the beach - CAUTION it's public and very narrow / crowded, we didn't even end up using. Great spot for families, wouldn't recommend for romantic adult-only vacation

lunch - have to reserve 7 days in advance the second it comes out. worth it if spending the day exploring Deia / Valdemossa. Could also eat at Belmond in that area but we didn't go. Bring towels to swim before/after lunch. Cash only

Restaurant at Richard Branson's hotel. Was a pretty spot but a shlep. Long windy drive to hotel. Next time would just stay at Cap Rocat.

Walked around historic towns (ourselves, don't need a guide). C'as Patro Marche is in Deia so easy to do same day. Could also go eat at the Belmont in Deia which I've heard is great
