The Cabin
Lunch / apres on mountain. Must go one day around 3pm for a late lunch and drinks outside on the mountain. Various food trucks, drinks and a DJ. Don’t make a reservation, those are for indoors and a price fixe menu. Outside is all first come first serve. Can bring kids to hang too post skiing. They also offer snowcat dinners 1-2 nights / week. You ride the snowcat up from the base of Snowmass, have dinner (inside, also price fixe), and ride it back down. Very fun evening with a group of friends or good for a romantic date night. Not sure what age kids have to be, we haven’t taken ours.

On the mountain - fun spot for burgers and drinks. The best Bloody Mary. They sometimes have a DJ on the deck with drinking games / cornhole. They were closed for a massive renovation last year and reopening this season. Not sure new format / vibe but used to be one of our favorite on mountain lunches.

Good for kids - very casual Italian in downtown Aspen. Make your own pizzas. Food is meh but it’s fun when you’re looking for an easy casual night

Casual Mexican, family friendly. We always do this one night with the kids. You can take the skittles gondola up from the base and it’s right off the gondola. The deck is a fun apres scene and packed but not as kid friendly, more party vibes.

Sushi - convenient in Snowmass. We usually go the first night we arrive so we don’t have to travel far (2 min walk from one Snowmass). Family friendly if your kids will eat sushi. Ours won’t we go as adults.

Pine Creek Cookhouse
Fun day activity if not skiing. It’s out by maroon bells so it doesn’t work for a ski day. You can either take a horse drawn sleigh or snow shoe or cross country ski up to the restaurant. Then have a long leisurely lunch (price fixe), and head back. Can combine with an afternoon in Aspen.

Notes & Tips
Snowmass is super family friendly and only 15 min from downtown Aspen. We’ll go into Aspen for dinner a few nights, and otherwise stay in Snowmass. We usually do a day skiing at Highlands. If you rent your skis from 4 mountain sports, they’ll store them each night for free and transfer them between mountains if you’d like.
